My Family
Married to Judi (missionary/pastor kid), our daughter, Casey, and her husband, Matt Soderlund, have two children, Hayden (4 yrs) and Landen (2 yrs). Our son, Nathan, lives in southern California. Judi and Casey were born in New Zealand while Nathan was born here in Modesto, CA and Ross in London, England. We’re all now US citizens.
My Heart
After serving in ministry since 1993 to the 65+ age group, it is still a privilege to serve alongside and lead this special family of Christ followers. Each day I am motivated by actively listening and engaging these precious people with a warm friendly approachable outlook in order to meet their needs and encourage them on their spiritual journey. I also love to form ministry teams where each member feels of value to the team while giving them responsibility and the authority to do the ministry.
Something Random
Before ministry I was involved in sales, sales supervising, production and design management before starting a new company within a corporation. I’ve always been involved in competitive sports climaxing in captaining the New Zealand National Team in water polo to the 1982 World Championships. Now the motivation has changed from competition to staying in shape for health reasons by swimming, running, biking, and gym workouts. Did you know that I went to an all-boys high school in New Zealand where they wore a uniform (strictly enforced) and I was selected as a school prefect in my final two years?
