Position Title: Finance Associate
• Prepared Date: May 2023

• Reports To: Pastor of Operations
• Time Commitment: 32 hours weekly
• Hourly Pay Range: $20 to $27 per hour
Purpose of position: To support all ministry areas by processing requests/invoices for payment. It is the goal of this position to process all invoices in a timely manner according to vendor terms. By paying our bills on time we represent Christ and His church in a positive light to our community. This position will also be responsible for all stewardship functions.
A/P Responsibilities:
• Process all requests/invoices daily. Confirm that necessary information and approvals have been obtainedfor all checking account funds
• Obtain W9’s and Liability Certificates on all required vendors for 1099’s
• Process EDD-DE542 as needed
• File and manage documentation regarding sales tax and fixed assets purchases monthly
• Monitor church credit card expenses and monthly reconciliation
• Complete A/R processes for rental properties, utility disbursements and reconciliation
• Petty Cash Disbursement and Reconciliation
• Cross-train and provide backup support to different areas of Business Office as needed (Accounting,Banking, Stewardship)
• Annually – Complete and file 1099s by January 31, Migrate working A/P files into long-term storage after year-end, Provide support for year-end closing and yearly audit
Stewardship Responsibilities
• Work with Pastor of Operations on giving/stewardship matters
• Process weekly tithes and offerings
• Input commitments annually and adjustments as necessary
• Research and contact donors regarding failed electronic transfers, rejected checks and unclear funddesignation
• Process quarterly and yearly giving statements, then prep and mail
• Process year-end giving and work with Comm department to communicate
• Process non-cash contributions and IRA distributions and stock gifts
• Provide support with GoMethod (mission trip online platform)
• Resolve contribution statement problems/changes with donors
• Assist Pastor of Operations with giving reports/analysis/stewardship budget
• Communicate memorial gifts with families as necessary
• Administrate fall and capital stewardship campaigns at the direction of Pastor of Operations
• Order giving envelopes quarterly, update bi-monthly
• Recruit and train volunteers

Professional Qualifications
• Basic computer literacy, including use of the following platforms and applications
• Windows operating system, including logging on/off, accessing applications
• Web browsers, such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and/or Mozilla Firefox
• Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets), preferably including the basic use of formulas and pivot tables
• Microsoft Outlook (email), including sending/receiving emails, working with meeting invites
• Microsoft Word including drafting and editing written documents
• Two years minimum experience in computerized accounts payable procedures, preferably QBO
• Good understanding of general ledger is highly desirable
• Orientation toward detail and high-accuracy
• Professional demeanor, positive and amicable with church staff

Position Title: Congregational Care Pastor

• Position Title: Congregational Care Pastor
• Reports To: Family Ministry Pastor
• Time Commitment: Full Time
• Salary Range: $67,000 to $72,000
Purpose of position: To shepherd congregants in their discipleship journey with a focus on equipping and empowering the priesthood to do the ministry of care, support, and encouragement toward one another. Develop and maintain a congregational care structure that provides shepherding and training for the priesthood. Participate as a member of the Equipping Team to provide leadership and oversight to our groups ministries.
A/P Responsibilities:
• Provide vision, oversight, and direction to Congregational Care, Chaplains, Homebound, Funerals, Weddings, and Deacons Fund
• Provide vision and direction for a discipleship-focused Congregational Care ministry
• Mentor, equip, shepherd, and maintain unity among leadership teams
• Recruit, train, and lead new team members and discipleship leaders
• Provide direction and processes for Ownership and tracking of Owners and regular attenders
• Provide counseling when needed
• Attend and participate as a member of the Shepherding Team—a team responsible for the overall spiritual leadership and direction of the church body
• Attend and participate as a member of the Equipping Team—a team responsible for the overall spiritual leadership and direction of the groups ministries

Position Title: Congregational Care Ministry Assistant

• Time Commitment: 24 or 32 hours weekly
• Salary Range: $17 to $24 per hour

We are an intergenerational, passionate group of Christ followers who are committed to making much of God in our lives and community.

Purpose of position: This individual is responsible for providing support to the Congregational Care Pastor and the overall Live Like Jesus Ministry.
General Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Provide support to Congregational Care pastor, chaplains, and Deacon Fund Administrative Team
• Ownership – maintain and track new and dismissed owners
• Provide support for weddings, receptions, funerals, and memorial services
• Coordinate with Comm Group (graphic, website, budgeting, and printing)
o Communication request submissions
o Oversee the printing of banners, posters, etc.
• Coordinate use of church facilities and/or sound equipment.
• Meet with the Live Like Jesus Team regularly
• Evaluate Live Like Jesus ministry, offering suggestions for improvement
• Share receptionist duties in Live Like Jesus office; answer phones, route calls, take messages
• Schedule appointments; greet and offer hospitality to those who come in for an appointment
• Follow up on email and voice mail messages in a timely manner; communicate details to staff and volunteers
• Update calendar activity
• Learn and grow in the use of Planning Center Online (PCO)
• Be knowledgeable of all events and on-going ministry details
• Process deposits, miscellaneous receipts, and reimbursements with proper accounting codes
• Order and maintain inventory of resources and office supplies
• Special projects as assigned
• Continually improve in necessary skills and knowledge of the position

Position Title: Early Childhood Director

• Reports To: Family Ministries Pastor
• Salary Range: $22 to $28 per hour

Purpose of position: Lead the early childhood & preschool ministry in alignment with the CrossPoint Community Church & CrossPoint Kids mission and values..

Leadership Responsibilities:
• Drive and cast vision and mission for the CrossPoint Kids ministry
• Lead and develop ministry to children and their families from birth to kindergarten
• Develop a team of dynamic volunteers to assist with the ministry
• Shepherd all early childhood and preschool ministry volunteers
• Pray for leaders and offer personal support and encouragement as needed
• Monitor volunteers concerning spiritual growth and address issues as necessary
• Evaluate effectiveness of volunteers and create improvement plans, including exit strategies when necessary
• Create and present training materials for volunteers
• Recruit and assign all volunteers in order to meet the needs of the ministry
• Find replacements for volunteers in the event of their absence
• Work within the volunteer system to ensure that serving is a positive experience
• Oversee curriculum
• Evaluate, adapt, and prep curriculum, and develop the overall program to reach maximum effectiveness
• Evaluate and communicate with teacher volunteers to ensure best technique and implementation of curriculum
• Minister to families
• Be available to parents to discuss issues with children or ministry questions
• Assist with discipline or special circumstances that arise while children are in our care
• Create and maintain resources and venues to assist, equip, and encourage parents
• Communicate with parents as needed with flyers, letters, phone calls, etc.

Position Title: Paid Childcare Worker

• Reports To: Children’s Director
• Salary Range: $16 to $19 per hour

Purpose of position: Provide a safe and secure place for children to learn how much God loves them through stories, music, media, and activities.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Active in the life of the church (i.e. worship services, tithe, etc.)
• Grow in your relationship with Christ
• If married, maintain good marital relationship
• If single, maintain a lifestyle of sexual purity in relationships and personal behavior
• Fully supportive of the pastoral staff and ownership of the mission of the church
• Committed to making the ministry joyful
• Good testimony in the community and emotionally strong
• Able to hear and know difficult situations without being judgmental or emotionally involved
• Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality (before receiving “confidential” information,
make employee or volunteer aware you may need to share the information with your supervisor
• Able to refrain from participating in gossip
• Joy is evident in attitude and countenance
• Sensitive to the needs of people and provide a caring attitude
• Able to work as part of a team
