Helping you love and serve your neighbors better by loving and serving them together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our goal for this one-day serving conference is to help equip you to love and serve your neighbors by coordinating others to help alongside you in your neighborhood. There is a lot to making this day happen, so we thought we would answer a few of those questions for you here.
This does take the place of Rescue Conference in 2019. We believe this is the next step for us a church to serve together and love our literal neighbors. We want to help you to serve and love your neighbors in a tangible way.
When you see a need that a neighbor has, you can submit that need through the Nominate a Need link below. You will then be contacted by a Neighbor Coach to come alongside you as you reach out to that neighbor and begin the process to serve them on Neighbor Day, March 16.
If you see a need to nominate, we will help you in the process of reaching out to that neighbor and you will get to know them in the process. If you don’t see a need to nominate, you can choose to serve alongside other CrossPoint friends as there will be opportunities to serve a neighbor in their neighborhood.
We will start the day at 8 am at CrossPoint to get plans for the day, hear from our speaker and organize in teams, then we’ll head out to serve from 9 am-12:30 pm. Returning from our neighborhoods, we will have a BBQ together including those we invited whom we served from 12:30-2 pm. We will end the day meeting from 2-4 pm, to celebrate the day together with worship music as well as sharing our day’s experiences and hearing from our speaker.
This is a family-friendly event and children up through fifth grade are encouraged to serve with and participate in the day with their parents. You’ll be able to select family-friendly neighbor sites when you register. Middle school and high school students will be invited to participate in a student track with Mike Haskins of New Vision Urban Mission in San Diego. Though there will not be childcare available, there will be some accommodations for the portion of the day that is on-campus at CrossPoint to make this a great time for families.
